‘Playful’ typeface by Pablo Alfieri. Love the lines.

I hate to admit it but it’s true. I stare at the screen all day working and then come home only to stare at the screen for most of the night either blogging, scouring the net for inspiration or working on design. And to add to the screen time, I would be staring at the iPhone screen on my way home. Gosh I’m a geek.

A skillful fusion of unique typography (probably self-created) and illustration. Wish I knew who created this wicked design.

Love it. Ever since the last Font exhibition, I’ve been a little addicted to Typography posters.

Go Font Urself exhibition at Peer Gallery. Type + Art + DJ spinning tunes + Free Kirin beer = pretty sweet show. Great variation of different styled works. Too bad I forgot to bring a proper camera and had to resort to slightly dodgy iPhone photos. The artworks looks great on framed A0 canvas on the bright white walls but I left feeling not quite satisfied. 12 artworks does not feed my font-art-hungry-soul. I want more dammit. *wipes off drool*

Michele Angelo is the talent behind this simple but intricate ‘W’. She was born in Italy, studied painting, then visual and industrial design. Some years later she moved to work as a graphic designer in Barcelona.

What I love about her work is her experimental, hand-crafted approach to design, playing with the contrast between modern tools and classic “human” techniques.
