Go Font Urself exhibition at Peer Gallery. Type + Art + DJ spinning tunes + Free Kirin beer = pretty sweet show. Great variation of different styled works. Too bad I forgot to bring a proper camera and had to resort to slightly dodgy iPhone photos. The artworks looks great on framed A0 canvas on the bright white walls but I left feeling not quite satisfied. 12 artworks does not feed my font-art-hungry-soul. I want more dammit. *wipes off drool*

I’ve been missing drawing lately. I miss being creative - slapping a pen to paper and just letting it all flow naturally. I enjoy seeing the end result - the raw quality and traces of hand-crafted imperfections.
I’m really looking forward to checking out ‘Mixed Business’ exhibition. It might just spark of inspiration I need to get started. Stay tuned for updates on the event.
There’s something very pretty about this alley way near my work. It feels very European, not that I’ve been there but it’s sort of how I’d imagined Italy would look, complete with scooters. I can’t wait to visit this side of the world one day! But until that day, I guess I’ll have to walk pass this Darlinghurst alley a few times to feed my Europe-deprived soul :)
Here’s a list of creative activities lined up for this week and this week alone:
Tues, 16th march - not quite design-related but more so a direct and digital marketing expo: Ad:Tech at Sydney Convention Centre.
Wed, 17th march - Go Font Yourself exhibition at Peer gallery, glebe.
Thurs, 18th march - Smirnoff Black Room exhibit at Blank space gallery, surry hills + Mixed Business at Ambush gallery, Waterloo.
Fri, 19th march- Semi-Permanent Sydney Day 1
Sat, 20th march - Semi-Permanent Sydney Day 2
Sun, 21st march - Take your Time: Olafur Eliasson exhibit at Museum of contemporary Arts
I hadn’t planned for so much art attack in one week but it seems all the awesome creative events just happen to fall around the same time! It’s all pretty exciting really. Note to self: must carry camera and sketch book at all times!
